Teens and Bodybuilding
When people hear the term bodybuilding they usually think of these big and bulky men that are in their mid twenties and older. However, many teens see these men and want to be just like them. Most people worry though that teens should not participate in weight lifting simply because it is unsafe. The truth is that it does not stunt the teens growth if they do participate in weight lifting, however, they should concentrate on using free weights since most weight lifting machines are designed for adults only which has too much weight for them and it could lead to the teen pulling or straining a muscle. Make sure to check out nitric oxide supplements if you want to get real serious about toning those muscles and making the most out of what you are doing.
However, there are some things that the teen should keep in mind. One they should be working with a comfortable weight and only increasing this by ten percent at a time when they get use to the weight. They should not be taking supplements that are designed for adults, simply because studies are done on adults and no one really knows how they will affect teens. The teen should aim to strength time a few times per week doing around eight repetitions per set, which a maximum of five sets. The teen should start with around three sets per muscle group. Overall, it is safe for teens to build muscles, but they need to do this much slower than adults.
